Stage at our first check
Year we invested
Headquarters
Team today
Founded by Ana Bright and Felix Toure.
Orbital builds the computer that runs inside a small satellite, plus the software that lets operators deploy new code to it after launch. Processing data in orbit means sending down answers instead of raw imagery.
Downlink capacity is the constraint on almost every earth-observation business. Orbital moves the work to where the data already is.
Hardware is not our natural home, and we said so in the first meeting. We invested because the team had already flown a payload, and because the software problem underneath is the part that compounds.
