What they do

Founded by Elena Duarte and Kwame Osei.

Northwind runs data pipelines the way modern application infrastructure already works. You write a transformation, push it, and the platform handles scheduling, retries, and scale. When nothing is running, you pay nothing.

The wedge is teams who outgrew cron jobs and cannot justify a data platform team. Northwind gives them the reliability of a managed warehouse workflow without the headcount that usually comes attached to it.

Why we invested
Elena and Kwame had already run this system inside a company with a thousand engineers, and they knew exactly which parts hurt. In the first meeting they spent forty minutes on failure modes and about ninety seconds on market size. That ratio is usually a good sign.
